To Firefly and Festivals Beyond

So after the Governors Ball on Randall Island I have full on festival fever. The fest being held in NYC meant a serious dose of style to go with the amazing music and weather! I posted some of the style shots to the instagram and twitter accounts for the store and those were just the tip of the sartorial iceberg. I also came back armed with styling ideas for this weekends Firefly Festival. Since this festival is practically in our backyards I know there are quite a few people from the area going.  I thought this would be a great opportunity to put together a few outfits just in time for you festival goers to pack!

The festival is first and foremost being held for a lot of people to check out a lot of great live music. Heres just a sample from our vinyl collection of some of the artists that will be there next weekend. The only thing better to rocking out to these albums is singing along with hundreds of other people while you watch them perform live!

The forecast for Dover this weekend is pretty balmy so keep you drinks cold and as stylish as you with a Freaker. These work on all size bottles so they're perfect for champagne bottles in case you decide to indulge in a delicious mimosa at your campsite!

The hot weather also means the potential for sunburn, and you haven't know pain until a crowdsurfer lands on your scorched shoulders. Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and use it often, so you land in the medical tents burn ward while your friends are shakin it to Outkast.

And now for the style portion of our post, with mens festival fashion included! I feel like the boys get left out of this party a lot of the time but there are plenty of style savvy guys out there bringing their A-game to the main stages.

This was on of my favorite outfits from the Governors Ball. He had those pants custom made in India and nailed the art of subtle print mixing. He has that blend of casual comfort and tailored structure that can be so elusive but really makes the separate pieces become a style statement.

Go for a similar look by picking up this vintage buttondown and super soft Rhythm cords. Add a pair of shades and some slip ons and rock on in comfort and style.

Mix prints and patterns with ease by choosing pieces in similar color families Top and hat by Duvin Design Co., shorts by Rhythm, Watch and sunglasses by Vestal.

The positive vibes at a festival abound, like this stylish pair who had just met but look like they've known each other forever. I love that he chose to layer an open buttondown over a graphic tee and her choice of a simple dress and statement sunglasses.

Speaking of graphic tees, they are a staple of the festival wardrobe. Here is a small his and hers sampling of what we have in store.

This girl, who requested to remain anonymous, really knows how to let her dress take center stage. Recreate this bright summery look with the Voulez Vous dress from Lovers & Friends, classic shades from Vestal and a casual carry-all bookbag from mi-pac.
